Why Cold Foam Lab exists
Most cold-foam advice stops at “froth some milk.” We focus on the details that change the result: milk type, temperature, serving size, sweetener, frothing time and how the foam is poured. The goal is to help readers understand the technique, not simply copy a trend.
The interactive recipe maker is a learning game. Its scores and targets are designed to reinforce useful habits, while the written guides provide the exact measurements you should use in a real kitchen.

How we create our guides
- Specific over vague. Recipes use measurable amounts, realistic timings and serving sizes.
- Technique before hype. We explain why a method works and where it may fail.
- Original value. Every guide is written for this site and organized around a real home-barista question.
- Clear limits. Results vary with milk formulation, equipment, temperature and technique. We say so when a result cannot be guaranteed.
- Useful updates. Guidance may be revised as the maker, recipes and testing improve.
03
Independent by design
Cold Foam Lab is not affiliated with Starbucks or any other coffee chain, dairy company or equipment brand. Brand names may appear only when they help identify a drink style or answer a reader’s question.
If advertising is introduced, ads will not determine recipe conclusions. Sponsored content or affiliate relationships, if ever used, will be identified clearly near the relevant content.
